Instrumental/ Space/ Stoner Rock | Self-released

Instrumental space/post/stoner rock band from the Netherlands, for fans of 35007, Secret Saucer, Farflung, Mother-Unit, Astrosoniq,...

'Radar Men From The Moon': an old scifi b-movie & a fresh space rock band from the Netherlands. I originally found this gem through a site called prog-sphere.com, they have an excellent selection of Bandcamp picks over there (from indie to space & stoner rock), check it out.

With Radar Men From The Moon they had me on 'instrumental space/post/stoner rock'. Something that describes this Dutch band perfectly. We all know by now what to expect when it comes to the Netherlands & space rock (35007, Gomer Pyle, Het Droste Effect, Astrosoniq, Mother-Unit,..), these guys are no exception. Intergalactic Dada & Space Trombones is RMFTM's debut album & a highly impressive one in it's kind. A laid-back, fuzzy, warm, hypnotic & intergalactic trip, any fan of space/ psychedelic/ desert rock should give it a chance!

I'm still surprised these guys are so hidden (only 70 listeners on last.fm?). I decided to contact the band & give these wonderful tunes some exposure on here (and special thanks to the Radar Men for the sweet review copy). So here it is for all to hear, a 46 minute hidden treasure of jammin' space rock, get this & spread the word!

... Digitally remastered Deluxe Boxset, 4CD + DVD with previously unreleased content ...

To celebrate its 25th Anniversary, Megadeth’s, Peace Sells... But Who’s Buying? has been remastered for the first time and expanded with previously unreleased content on all formats. The multi-platinum selling landmark album will be available repackaged as a deluxe 5CD + 3LP box, with all formats to include a previously unreleased 1987 concert from the band’s first world tour and new liner notes written by Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich.

The deluxe box set also includes previously unreleased and rare mixes of the album’s tracks, hi res audio for the remastered album and concert, as well as an expanded 20-page book, 8”x10” photos and reproductions of vintage Megadeth memorabilia. Whilst the cover of the box uses a new, unique process of lenticular 3D which reinterprets the original cover in a spectacular 3D effect.

CONTAINED ON 5 DISCS AND 3 LPS, YOU ALSO GET: RE-CREATIONS OF A VINTAGE MEGADETH CONCERT TICKET,
TWO PRESS PHOTOS, TWO FLYERS FROM CLASSIC MEGADETH CONCERTS,
A KILLER BOOKLET PACKED WITH PHOTOS, MEMORABILIA, CREDITS AND LINER NOTES BY LARS ULRICH AND DAVE MUSTAINE.
NEW ARTWORK CREATED ESPECIALLY FOR THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION WITH MULTI-COLORED VINYL

Arguably Megadeth's strongest effort and a classic of early thrash, Peace Sells combines punkish political awareness with a dark, threatening, typically heavy metal world-view, preoccupied with evil, the occult, and the like. The anthemic title track and "Wake Up Dead" are the two major standouts, and there is also a cover of Willie Dixon's "I Ain't Superstitious," which takes on an air of supernaturally induced paranoia in the album's context. The lines between hell and earth are blurred throughout the album, and the crashing, complex music backs up Dave Mustaine's apocalyptic vision of life as damnation -- his limited vocal style is used to great effect, growling and snarling in a barely intelligible fashion under all the complicated guitar work. Vital, necessary thrash. [In 2011 the band released a 25th Anniversary Special Edition of Peace Sells, which featured the digitally remastered album with liner notes from Mustaine and Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, as well as a bonus disc that included a previously unreleased live show recorded in 1987 in Cleveland, Ohio.]

Cinortele - Family ProgDark

Cinortele - Family ProgDarkGenre: Progressive Dark Psytrance | MP3 | CBR 256 Kbps | 162 Mb
23 August 2011 | Publisher: Vitor | Rapidshare
Psychedelic trance (European Portuguese) and psychedelic (Brazilian Portuguese) (also referred to as psy trance) is a form of electronic music developed in the late 1980s in Israel from the Goa trance (India, Goa). This style has a fast beat, between 135 and 165 beats per minute (bpm), and the strong beat to kick in a 4x4 beat, which sometimes differs from the techno beat to have a frequency range a little louder than the sounds serious. The original Goa trance was often made with modular synthesizers and hardware samplers, but the preference in Psychedelic trance is directed to the handling and storage of samples in sampling programs VST and AU. The use of analog synthesizers for sound synthesis instruments gave way to "virtual analog" digital like the Nord Lead, Access Virus, Korg MS-2000, Roland JP-8000 computer and plugins such as VST and AU Native Instruments Reaktor. These are usually controlled by a MIDI sequencer in a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). The psychedelic trance is often played at outdoor festivals (away from large urban centers), which can last several days, with music playing 24 hours a day.

Cardboard sleeve reissue from The Seeds. This series featuring the albums "The Seeds", "A Web Of Sound", "Future", "Raw & Alive In Concert At Merlin's Music Box", and Sky Saxon Blues Band's "A Full Spoon Of Seedy Blues". All discs were digitally remastered. Japanese original release.
The Seeds were a 1960s rock and roll band based in Los Angeles, California, United States, whose raw and abrasive energy, and simple, repetitive lyrics came to exemplify the garage rock style. The band was active from 1965 to 1972. The group reunited in 1989, split again in 1993 and reunited once more in 2003. The band’s future is in question after the June 2009 death of its only constant member, singer Sky Saxon.

Best known for their rock & roll standard "Pushin' Too Hard," the Seeds combined the raw, Stonesy appeal of garage rock with a fondness for ragged, trashy psychedelia. And though they never quite matched the commercial peak of their first two singles, "Pushin' Too Hard" and "Can't Seem to Make You Mine," the band continued to record for the remainder of the '60s, eventually delving deep into post-Sgt. Pepper's psychedelia and art rock. None of their new musical directions resulted in another hit single, and the group disbanded at the turn of the decade.

Sky Saxon (born Richard Marsh; vocals) and guitarist Jan Savage formed the Seeds with keyboardist Daryl Hooper and drummer Rick Andridge in Los Angles in 1965. By the end of 1966, they had secured a contract with GNP Crescendo, releasing "Pushin' Too Hard" as their first single. The song climbed into the Top 40 early in 1967, and the group immediately released two sound-alike singles, "Mr. Farmer" and "Can't Seem to Make You Mine," in an attempt to replicate their success; the latter came the closest to being a hit, just missing the Top 40. While their singles were garage punk, the Seeds attempted to branch out into improvisational blues-rock and psychedelia on their first two albums, The Seeds (1966) and Web of Sound (1966). With their third album, Future (1967), the band attempted a psychedelic concept album in the vein of Sgt. Pepper's. While the record reached the Top 100 and spawned the minor hit "A Thousand Shadows," it didn't become a hit. Two other albums -- Raw & Alive: The Seeds in Concert at Merlin's Music Box (1968) and A Full Spoon of Seedy Blues (1969), which was credited to the Sky Saxon Blues Band -- were released at the end of the decade, but both were ignored. The Seeds broke up shortly afterward.

The Jayhawks - Mockingbird Time (2011)

The Jayhawks - Mockingbird Time
Alt-Country | mp3 VBR 248 kbps | 50:44 min | 90,7 MB
Label: Decca | Tracks: 12 | Rls.date: 2011-08-22

During their heyday in the first half of the 1990s, The Jayhawks perfected a captivating sound that seamlessly blended the elegant folk-rock of The Byrds, the adventurousness of Buffalo Springfield, the hippiebilly soulfulness of The Flying Burrito Brothers, and the soaring harmonies of The Beach Boys. So it's richly ironic that their reappearance coincides with a dramatic resurgence of the musical approach they played such a central role in perpetuating--but this time around, The Jayhawks themselves are revered as icons by the young bands carrying on those same traditions, and it's their own legacy that they're advancing. On Mockingbird Time, their eighth album, and the first with the original lineup since 1995's Tomorrow The Green Grass, they're once again pushing the envelope in songs and performances of rarefied dynamism and grace. The album's shapes and textures range from the string-laden grandeur of "Hide Your Colors" and the widescreen vistas of "Tiny Arrows" to the streamlined 12-string jangle of "She Walks in So Many Ways" and the amphetamine frenzy of "High Water Blues."

"As pancadas desse instante
Em que eu sinto como se ontem
Me dissesse que tal dia não vem
Que os dias de paz não existem(...)
Agora eu vou me esquecer mais
Agora eu vou me confundir mais
Agora eu vou me cuidar mais
Quem sabe o tal dia ainda vem"

chegue perto e meu verso lhe fará doer

traz interno o fardo e no intestino o próprio inferno
vais vagar o mundo e acertar quem te traiu
com a labareda do teu sol sombrio

É dado aos sóbrios ver a luz do sol!"
(Batone - 'Der Leone')
